Arsenal VS Liverpool (UEFA’08) 2nd Leg (2:4)

What a wasted. Arsenal nearly get to go to the semifinal but were deter by Liverpool after the Gunners were beat down 4-2 by Liverpool at Anfield yesterday. The fifth times Champion Leagues winner, Liverpool make a comeback when the Arsenal scored their first goal in 13th minutes play by Aby Diaby. Surely the game Arsenal play very smooth and beautiful and also quite fast. This make Liverpool became havoc for 30th minutes. But at minutes 26th, Liverpool even the goal with Hyypia heading from Gerrard corner kick. The games really became intense after the 2nd half as Benitez make some change that really makes Arsenal could not attack like before.

Then, after some minutes, Liverpool get their 2nd goal with smart through ball to the Torres, and Torres make a turning and shoot to the goal to beat Alumnia. As Arsenal tense down, Arsene Wenger decide to attacking with rest the defense by taking Eboue and Aby Diaby to rest and send V.Persie and Theo Walcott. Some changes really happen then as you can see that the move become very faster but the weaknesses could be seen when Liverpool counter attack really had to through the goal. Then, as Walcott got the ball from defense his accurately running fastly and dribbling about 5 Liverpool player until he passed to Adebayor to get the even goal. This move really so beautiful as the running really fast that make all fans happy. As 1 minutes after that, Babel get ball from left side and run through Arsenal defense when Toure make a false to make Liverpool get the penalty kick.

Well, it’s really interesting game when Arsenal had a match with Liverpool. As expected, Wenger surprised everyone with the countless attack from his young team. But Liverpool also give their best to make a great defensive and some good counterattack. The game start with a full spirit of both team, and Arsenal show some really good attacking. But as expected of the Liverpool defense, their team were unbreakable. For 25 minutes Arsenal and Liverpool both give their best where we can see some good chance from Van Persie, Adebayor, Gerrard, and Torres but both still miss the chance.

The first goal in minute 26′ come from corner when Fabregas cross were right through at Adebayor head and the chance were being use to lose Reina. It were so fast that Reina can do nothing when the ball goes through their goal. Then Liverpool were fired up that their through pass to Babel make Arsenal defense shake a bit. 3 minutes later, Gerrard use fully his tactical dribble in left side to lose Arsenal defense and passing to right side for Kuyt to use this chance fully and get the even goal(29′).
